Using E-Books to Build Your Opt-In List

Website owners and ezine publishers scramble daily to find fresh content for their websites and ezines. The internet gobbles up information like a pig... a big HUNGRY pig. E-books are big with website owners and ezine publishers. You can use the Internet’s hunger for information to build your opt-in list and  e-books are one of the best ways to do it.

If you have the ability to write e-books yourself, that is great. If you don’t have the ability to write e-books for yourself, all is not lost. You can get PLR e-books which you can claim authorship of and use those or you can pay a ghostwriter to write one for you fairly reasonably.

You need to submit these e-books to e-book banks and allow website owners or ezine publishers to download them and republish them at no charge. You are probably sitting there saying, “Now how exactly is giving away ebooks going to build my list?”

The answer to that question is simple. An e-book when done the right way will have your website address on each and every page. In the resource box you will be listed as the author and your website address will, yet again, be included. The visitors to other websites that republish your e-book will also have to publish your website address and ezine publishers who use your ebook will have to do the same.

Every person who visits the websites of other website owners that republish your ebook will have the opportunity to click on the link and visit your site. The same is true for ezines that use your ebook in their publications. These links to your website will increase traffic and traffic translates into new opt-in members to your list. Not all visitors will opt-in, of course, but there will be enough that will, especially if your e-book or report has already given them some great, useful and helpful information.

Being sure that your e-book is powerful and full of great info will get you more signups – and it also helps brand you as an expert in your niche, which again leads to more people opting to read your mailings – and to higher conversions for the products and services you recommend.
